Every Saturday, members of the Holy Spirit House take to the streets of Toulon to evangelise and pray for the people God shows us. The way we do this is in the form of a ‘Treasure Hunt’. The concept of the ‘Treasure Hunt’ was developed by a group of Christian students in California some fifteen years ago. It consists of opening our hearts and ears to God, and allowing him show us specific features, attributes places and types of peoples who we are to approach and share the transformative love of God. This technique is working the charism of prophecy.

The goal of the ‘Treasure Hunt’ is to allow the Holy Spirit in his wisdom to lead us to the lost, broken and those in need. Before going out into the street, we gather to praise the Lord, and ask the Holy Spirit for clues about the person; first names, appearance of the person, the places they are, and also other words of knowledge specific to the person. This form of evangelisation invites us to step out of our comfort zone and to let the Holy Spirit take the lead.

The ‘Hunting’ part involves assembling a group of about 3 or 4 people to follow and find the words we collectively received from the Holy Spirit During prayer (This is finding the treasure). Each person in the group steps out in faith whilst looking for the words, and everybody prays for the person the Lord sends there way. 1 Cor 12: 7-10 7 "But to each the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good: for one is given by the Spirit a word of wisdom, and another is given by the Spirit. word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; to another, faith, by the same Spirit; to another, the gift of healings, by the same Spirit; to another, the gift of working miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, the discernment of spirits; to another, the diversity of languages; to another, the interpretation of languages. "

God loves to heal, redeem and restore people. To release people into their destiny and calling as sons and daughters of God in His Kingdom. He wants us to have fun helping Him to make disciples of all nations.
